APS Itinera Romanica, Amici del Romanico

EXTRAMUROS, the Middle Ages beyond the walls is the first travelling festival dedicated to medieval Sardinia promoted by our association.

From May to October we travel across different areas of Sardinia to tell the story of our Middle Ages outside traditional contexts, directly in the places that still preserve its traces today: churches, villages, landscapes, stones and communities.
Each stage has a different focus and involves scholars, communicators, artists, historical groups and professionals in the field, through talks, guided tours, concerts, workshops and experiential activities.
For us, this festival represents a dream taking shape and, above all, a new way of telling the medieval history of Sardinia.
