Publications and book presentations

Over the years, our association has promoted various publications related to Romanesque heritage and medieval life in Sardinia.

In 2015, we published the Guida alle chiese romaniche della Sardegna, edited by Prof. Andrea Pala. It's organized into itineraries that have become reference points for Romanesque enthusiasts on the island.

In 2017, we launched a series for children: Il romanico narrato ai bambini. Five stories written by Luciana Miglior, set in five Romanesque churches and illustrated by Adriana Baschieri. Each book includes an audio version in Sardinian, translated by Maria Garau. The featured churches are: SS. Trinità di Saccargia (Codrongianos), Santa Maria della Mercede (Norbello), Santa Maria (Bonarcado), Santa Giusta (Santa Giusta), and San Nicola di Quirra (Villaputzu).

In 2022, we released the book Donne protagoniste del medioevo sardo, edited by Prof. Rossana Martorelli. It collects the talks from the 2020 lecture series “Pomeriggi del Romanico”. A first reprint was published in 2024.

In 2025, in collaboration with Ilisso publishing house and under the patronage of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, we presented the book Il tempo dei giudicati. La Sardegna medievale dal X al XV secolo d.C., edited by Sabrina Cisci, Rossana Martorelli, and Giovanni Serreli, published by Ilisso in 2023. The book was presented in the four Judicate capitals: Cagliari, Oristano, Ardara, and Olbia.

In autumn 2025, the book A tavola in Sardegna nel Medioevo will be published, again edited by Prof. Martorelli. It gathers the talks from the 2024 edition of “Pomeriggi del Romanico”, dedicated to food and nutrition in the Middle Ages.
